The Fast Track To Overcoming Fertility Problems After 30

If you want to increase your chances of avoiding fertility problems as a 30+ female and increase your chances of conception, today’s video is for you.

The majority of women reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, but the menopause can also occur earlier, in 30s and 40s.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the US, over 6 million women in the US aged 15-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant. (1)

In the UK, around 1 in 7 couples can experience difficulty conceiving, which is about 3.5 million people. (2)

If you suffer with infertility problems, then you know exactly how it feels to be in a place where your body doesn’t appear to be fertile and so able to conceive a child.

Many women believe that infertility happens due to having faulty genes or simply bad luck, certainly when no obvious medical condition can be attributed to their infertility.

But, in reality there is much more they can do to boost their fertility and this is what I talk about in my video:

Some of the factors that can cause fertility problems.

  • Being overweight
  • Toxic load from consuming unhealthy foods and drinks,
  • Hormonal problems, including thyroid issues,
  • Environmental toxins/unhealthy living environment
  • Excess insulin levels. About 100 million people in the US have pre-dibetes or diabetes which can then result in weight issues and PCOS, so affecting a woman’s fertility.

The mainstream medical way of treating fertility problems.

Typically, traditional doctors won’t advise couples wanting to conceive to change their diet and lifestyle and instead will offer medical interventions.

These can include:

  • Hormonal medications,
  • Surgery,
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI) where a male’s sperm is placed inside the woman’s uterus close to ovulation,
  • Assisted reproductive technology (IVF). This involves removing mature eggs from a woman’s ovaries, then fertilizing them with a man’s sperm in a lab, before placing the embryos into the uterus of the women after fertilization.

Even with all our modern day medical technology, there is still no guarantee that any of these will be able to fix a female fertility problems and help her conceive.

For example, when taking IVF treatment, there is at best just a 40% chance of conceiving and this declines the older the woman is.

Cost is also another significant issue and IVF treatment in the US costs around $12,000-$15,000 dollars.

How to improve your fertility with a plant-based diet.

Diet is one of the biggest changes that you can make when it comes to dealing with fertility problems and increasing your chances of conceiving.

A famous study carried out called the Harvard Nurses Study, which followed 18,000 women. (3)

They were actively trying to get pregnant for 8 years and as part of the study they all noted down what foods they had in their diet.

Well, what they found was striking.

They discovered that by adding just one serving of meat per day to their diet, that their risk of infertility increased by nearly a third or 30%. So by eating just one meal with a serving of meat in it and in particular poultry, it appeared to greatky impact their fertility in a negative way.

In fact the world renown, The Harvard Medical School actually recommends that you go for vegetable protein and so replace meat protein with plant protein to improve your fertility. (4)

This means switching to a highly nutritious, whole foods vegan diet is ideal, where you get all your protein from plant sources as well as your fat intake and healthy carbohydrates.

Not to mention as well the health promoting fiber and many other phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals that you’ll receive from these healthy plant foods.

Changing to a whole foods vegan diet with lots of raw foods in it helped me conceive our daughter naturally after years of being on an hormonal rollecoaster. I share the story of my pregnancy here. I also talk about how I healed my PCOS, which can affect your fertility (and how if you suffer with PCOS as well, can heal yours to) here.

A balanced plant-based, whole foods vegan diet is packed full with health promoting, hormone balancing nutrients and is ideal for boosting your fertility and going through a healthy pregnancy.

On a whole foods vegan diet and very importantly, it naturally excludes all the unhealthy ingredients that you need to avoid – that include hydrogenated fats, saturated animal fats, cholesterol, cancer-promoting substances, artificial sweeteners, processed sugar, refined salt, etc.

How excess weight negatively affects your fertility.

Obesity is a big problem in today’s world and it is directly linked to infertility.

Both overweight and obese women have a higher incidence of menstrual dysfunction and anovulation, and so a high risk for reproductive problems. (5)

Weight issues also increase the risk of suffering from a miscarriage and pregnancy complications.

People who eat a whole food, vegan diet are naturally leaner and as we have discussed excess weight is a significant factor when it comes to boosting your fertility and so chances of conceiving.

In fact it’s very important to get yourself in shape as a couple before you conceive. Read more about losing weight with vegan and raw foods here.

To give yourself the very best chance of being fertile and conceiving a child, changing your diet to a healthy plant foods one is a must, especially if you are experiencing fertility issues already.

This lifestyle can not only help you lose weight, but also balance your hormones and increase your fertility levels all naturally, and so increasing your chances of conceiving a healthy child.
