What 4 Years On A Raw Food Diet Taught Us And Are We Still Eating It?

Back in the summer of 2009, we switched to a raw food diet.

Yulia was experiencing big health problems, including adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and a candida overgrowth for around 2 years.

After trying a lot of other approaches, she wanted to find a solution that worked.

Up to this point, we were eating a low-carb plant-based diet.

As the usual advice goes regarding sugar and candida, Yulia was avoiding fruits and carbs as much as possible but was struggling constantly with her high-fat diet due to starving her body of healthy carbohydrates.

Eventually, she came across the raw food diet, but not just any raw food diet, it had to be a high carb diet meal plan or a high fruit raw food diet.

We both began reading books and watching videos about how to do a raw vegan diet plan properly and came up with a raw food diet meal plan.

Our simple raw food diet recipes and our new raw vegan meal plan were delicious!

I also started eating a raw food diet plan and began noticing positive changes – easy digestion, headaches gone, high energy levels.

Little did we know at the time, but we had started a new and exciting chapter in our lives with our new high-carb vegan diet plan that would take our health and well-being to the next level.

In short, we felt amazing!

Fast forward a few years and Yulia gave birth to our daughter Elanie, which itself was amazing due to the fact that Yulia had PCOS and other hormonal imbalances.

Once again the low-fat raw food diet had worked its magic.

From here we modified our diet and started including some whole vegan cooked foods into our high raw vegan diet plan.
